BIOGRAPHY
Spanish musician Manuel Borraz has established himself as one of the most original young artists of his generation.
Born in Madrid in 1994, Borraz is a composer, pianist, and producer. He studied with some of Europe’s most renowned artists — including Anton Kernjak, Ken Zuckerman, Claudio Martínez Mehner, Ferenc Rados, Lester Menezes, Malcolm Braff, and Fred Frith — during his time at the prestigious FHNW University of Music in Basel, Switzerland.
Manuel Borraz has demonstrated his versatility as a performer on a wide range of internationally renowned stages, such as the Shanghai Concert Hall, the Shenzhen International Festival, Jazz Madrid Festival, Conde Duque Auditorium, Attaca Festival, ZeitRäume, Klang Basel, the Kirsten Kjærs Museum, and the Konzertkirken in Copenhagen, among others. He has won piano competitions such as the “XXV Jacinto Guerrero” and the “XIV Veguellina de Órbigo.” As a composer, he has premiered works on Spanish National Radio (RNE) and has received commissions from various chamber music groups to create original music and film scores.
